Decide on the size of your parlayWe mentioned a 12-team parlay above, but you can decide on whatever parlay size that you’d like. Of course, the more teams you add, the lower your chances of winning. On the other hand, the more teams you add, the less money you must risk for a high payout. If you’re like most sports bettors, you’re comfortable with risking $100. While losing $100 can suck, it also isn’t going to ruin your life. And, if you’re lucky enough to win your parlay, those $100 can literally change your life overnight.
Your first goal is to decide how much you’re trying to win. Set a goal. Obviously, given the opportunity, we would all like to make a million dollars overnight. But let’s be realistic. How much are you going for? Do you want to turn $100 into $1,000? That isn’t too hard. Our clients have achieved this many times with our Sports Passes. However, if you’re trying to turn $100 into $10,000 or more, just know that you’ll be doing a lot more homework and preparation to maximize your chances of winning.
Follow the teams for a monthOk, so now that you know your goal, let’s discuss what your homework will be for the next month. Let’s say you decided that you’re going to do a 12-team parlay. The first thing you need to do is pick 12 games that are scheduled for a month from now. You can do this on any sports app or website. Next, you’re going to keep track of all the teams performance for the next 30 days. Since you’re doing a 12-team parlay, this means that you’re going to keep track of 24 teams in total. Don’t worry, it’s not as hard as it sounds and definitely worth it if you're serious about getting your biggest parlay win.
Thanks to the internet, you can quickly download the historic stats for any team. You'll want to get an average of the teams performance during the last 30 days to help you calculate what the against the spread (ATS) lines should be for the games you'll be including in your parlay. We only want to include ATS picks in our parlay because these lines are typically -110 odds, which will provide a MASSIVE payout when you combine them with other bets in your parlay.
Let's say your parlay will include NBA games - you’ll need to keep track of everything below for 30 days:
-
Blocks
-
Points
-
Steals
-
Rebounds
-
2-point pct
-
Field Goal Pct
-
Free Throw Pct
-
3-Point Pct
-
Defensive Rebounds
-
Offensive Rebounds
-
Asst-to-To Ratio
Once you have all the data above for the NBA teams in your parlay, you can create an analysis to help arrive at your predictions. We won’t do a full data analysis class in this post, but there are countless articles and videos available online that show you how. Once you learn how, it’s simply a matter of plugging in the data. The data you collect should provide you with an idea of which team should be favored to win and by how much. Once you have those numbers, you can look at the bookie lines and quickly know what’s the BEST line to choose.
Let’s say one of the games you choose is the Lakers vs. the Warriors. If your analysis shows that the Warriors are supposed to win by about 7 points, and the bookies line is Warriors -3 (-110). You will INSTANTLY know that it’s a great line to add to your parlay. However, if the bookie's line is Warriors -9 or Lakers +9, you’ll know it’s best to choose the Lakers +9 instead, since there’s a higher chance that the Lakers will cover +9 points. Makes sense?
Like I said, this process will require work and effort, but can provide you with a MASSIVE reward. Remember, 30 days will pass by anyways, whether you put in the work or not. You might as well do it, my friend.
Wait as much as possible before placing your bet
Once you have all your picks ready for the parlay, I highly recommend you wait as long as possible to place your bets. The reason for this is because of last minute injuries or roster changes that may occur, as well as line movement. Remember, since you did your homework, you’ll have an edge over 99% of the public and know which team should win by how many points. Waiting as long as possible to place the bets allows for lines to move in your favor, so be patient. I recommend waiting up until 30 minutes before game time to place your bets.
Enjoy the games
Last but not least is to make sure you take it easy and enjoy the games. Yes, our main goal here is to win, but this should never stress you out. If you win 11 games out of 12, it’s not the end of the world. Will it hurt? Yes. Will you be mad? I’m sure you will. But it isn’t the end of the world. You can always save up another $100 and try again. And now that you’ll have practice on how to find value in games, you’re chances of winning your next parlay will be that much higher. Remember that this is "sports betting" and that anything can happen during the game. Injuries, bad calls, poor performance from players, etc. What I'm trying to get at here is that no matter how much studying and preparation you do, nothing is ever a guarantee when sports betting. Just keep that in mind.
Conclusion
I hope this article helped you and I want to wish you the best of luck with getting your biggest parlay win. My clients and I have won many parlays together and they are always fun! But remember that this should always be fun. No amount of money is worth being stressed out over. You should not be in panic mode if you lose a parlay. It’s ok to be disappointed, but never allow this to stress you out. At the end of the day, this is a fun and competitive challenge, not something to take seriously.
